MOBOTIX is once again expanding its product range. Starting November 2018, MOBOTIX will offer three high-quality NAS devices with different capacities for perfect integration into MxManagementCenter 2.0, the most powerful and flexible MOBOTIX VMS solution ever!

Basic information: NAS & Video Security

Network Attached Storage (NAS) makes it possible to centrally store and share the video and audio recordings of cameras in the network without the need for a computer or external hard disk. Basically, a NAS is a small computer (file server) with a processor, RAM, hard drives and its own operating system. In addition to easy operation (also remotely), professional NAS devices with at least two slots for inserting hard disks offer increased data security through hard disk redundancy (RAID). This means that if a hard drive fails, the data is not necessarily lost because it will always be stored on the rest of the NAS's hard drives and will continue to be available. Due to its manageable costs, low maintenance, easy scalability and high data security, NAS systems are already the central storage system of choice in many smaller video systems with less than 10 cameras.

Additional advantage for MOBOTIX: Users of decentralized MOBOTIX IoT video systems with data storage on the SD card inside the camera can enjoy the additional security advantages of the MxFFS storage solution with buffered archive (with firmware MX-V5.1.0.99 or higher) with MOBOTIX.

MxFFS with Buffered Archive: Unique redundant high-security storage concept

Not a single frame loss of data if the primary storage destination of the camera fails! As part of the securely encrypted MOBOTIX MxFFS storage system, for a MOBOTIX Mx6 camera with up-to-date firmware, a NAS can also be configured as the main storage location (primary destination of the MxFFS archive) and the incamera SD card as backup storage. If the network connection or the NAS fails, the camera automatically saves all data to the SD card and transfers it automatically to the NAS as soon as it is available again (network connection restored or NAS replaced or repaired).

Do you need Surveillance HDD Hard Drives?  PoE Data Switch?  Cameras?  CommGear sells them.  Install and service at an additional charge.
