MOBOTIX WEATHERPROOF THERMOGRAPHIC DUAL FLEXMOUNT S16 CAMERA WITH 17° (R237) THERMAL LENS (NEW)
Mobotix Thermographic Cameras
MOBOTIX WEATHERPROOF THERMOGRAPHIC DUAL FLEXMOUNT S16 CAMERA WITH 17° (R237) THERMAL LENS (NEW)
Unique Dual Thermal Image System. Compact And Flexible.
Without extra cooling, heating or PTZ motors, the S16 requires a maximum of just 8 watts of power, even with two thermal image sensors. Generally speaking, every previously delivered S16 DualFlex can also operate with the thermal sensor modules and be converted - even if only temporarily - into a high-end thermographic camera.
- Weatherproof dual camera system for flexible mounting solutions
- Two separately connected thermographic modules or one thermographic and one sensor module
- Integrated DVR functionality: Slot for MicroSD card
- Functional expansion via MiniUSB and MxBus connector
- S14 sensor modules cannot be used with S15 models (and vice versa)
Thermal Lenses from Super Wide Angle (17°) to Tele (17°) for S16 MOBOTIX cameras.
The compact S16 FlexMount is a universally deployable, easy concealable video system with a highly detailed resolution of up to 2 x 6 megapixels. The fully weatherproof IP camera has two miniature sensor modules, which are each connected to the camera housing with a sensor cable. Thanks to the hemispheric dual lens, two separate rooms can be secured simultaneously without any blind spots.
The World’s First Flexible Dual Thermal Camera The new thermal sensor modules measure the thermal radiation of objects, so that they can function in absolute darkness. Together with the new MxActivitySensor, they can reliably detect motion in images at night. Only changes in position trigger a signal. Objects moving on the spot do not trigger a signal. The thermal sensor modules also have an advantage during the day since they can detect moving objects in shadows, semi-darkness, smoke, or behind bushes.
With the S15 FlexMount, two 6MP sensor modules featuring microphones are connected to a concealed camera housing via cables of up to three meters long for each module (total max. 6 m). Two adjacent rooms can be discreetly monitored with just one camera.
Lens options MX sensor module (left, optional) 180° to 13° horizontal field of view

Note: In the color sensors, the infrared CUT filter is NOT in the lens, but rather already installed in the lens casing in the camera.
Important Features:
- High-end thermografic camera with thermal sensor of typically 50 mK and a temperature measuring range of -40 to +550°C/-40 to +1022°F
- The thermal sensor is capable of detecting in complete darkness and/or through smoke, smog, or a thin plastic film (limited during thick fog); applications include border protection: view of the sea in coastal areas, ships in the distance can be recognized in hazy conditions.
- The combination with the MxActivitySensor in particular delivers extremely reliable video analysis results of person/vehicle movements, as it is now possible to block out disruptive factors such as regular movements of "cold" objects such as bushes, grass, water, clouds, waves etc.
- No glare from strong sources of light (such as headlights, hand-held lamps).
- Detection of hotter than average body parts or technical devices, detection of faults in photovoltaic systems, overheated machine bearings etc.
- Low camera power consumption of max. 5.5 W (thermal sensor plus 6 MP sensor module, without additional MxBus devices).
- The thermal image sensor is configured using camera software in a web browser; it is possible to display the thermal image with all other MOBOTIX user software (MxMC, MxEasy, MxCC, App).
Installation and service in North Carolina only. Preprogramming can be done before shipping to site.
Cameras with thermographic image sensors ("thermal cameras") are subject to the special export regulations of the U.S.A. and the ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation): According to the currently applicable export regulations of the U.S.A. and the ITAR, cameras with thermographic image sensors or parts thereof must not be exported to countries embargoed by the U.S.A. or the ITAR. At present, this applies to the following countries: Syria, Iran, Cuba, North Korea and Sudan. The same export ban applies to all persons and institutions listed in "The Denied Persons List" (see www.bis.doc.gov, "Policy Guidance > Lists of Parties of Concern"). Under no circumstances can the camera itself or its thermographic image sensors be used in the design, the development or in the production of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons or in the weapons themselves.
